Marketing website privacy

Privacy on the Famyance website.

This policy explains what data the Famyance marketing website collects and how we use it. It is deliberately short, because this website does very little with your data.

This page applies to the Famyance marketing website at famyance.com.

For the Famyance application's terms and privacy information, visit famyance.app.

01The short version

Famyance.com is our marketing website. It exists to tell you about Famyance and to let you request beta access. We collect only the information needed to run the site and to respond to you.

What this website does not hold

The marketing website does not store full financial records, uploaded bank statements, budgets, goals, or family workspace data. Those services are provided through the Famyance application at famyance.app.

02What we collect

Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:

  • Contact-form submissions — your name, email, and message when you contact us or request beta access.
  • Beta and waitlist interest — the fact that you asked to join, so we can follow up.
  • Launch-update sign-ups — your email, if you choose to receive product or launch updates.
  • Technical and server logs — standard request data such as IP address, browser and device type, and pages viewed, kept for security and reliability.
  • Strictly-necessary cookie identifiers — small values that keep the site working and protect our forms (see our Cookie Policy).
  • Email correspondence — messages you send us and our replies.

03How we use it

We use this information only to:

  • Respond to your enquiries and beta-access requests.
  • Manage beta and waitlist interest and contact you about it.
  • Operate, secure, and improve the marketing website.
  • Send product or launch updates you have asked to receive.
  • Meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

We never sell your data, and we never use it to train advertising models.

04Cookies

This website uses strictly-necessary cookies for site operation, security, and form anti-spam, optional analytics cookies with your consent, and advertising cookies only on our marketing landing pages and only if you opt in. Full details are in our Cookie Policy. Cookies.

05Sub-processors

We use the sub-processors below to run this website and the wider Famyance service (the app), each under a data-processing agreement that limits them to acting on our instructions. Those marked (app) apply to the Famyance application rather than this website:

  • Cloudflare, Inc. — website hosting, CDN, object storage and backups (R2), and form anti-spam (Turnstile). EU and global edge; US company.
  • Google LLC — Google Analytics 4 (consent-gated website analytics) and Firebase Cloud Messaging for mobile push (app). United States.
  • Microsoft Corporation — Microsoft Clarity, consent-gated anonymised session insights with form inputs masked. United States.
  • Resend, Inc. — transactional and contact-form email delivery (your email address and message content). United States.
  • Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry) — application error monitoring, with IP, email and tokens stripped. EU region.
  • Anthropic PBC — AI features in the app: spending insights, receipt reading and statement categorisation (app). United States.
  • Upstash, Inc. — cache and background queues, failover only (app). EU.
  • Hetzner Online GmbH — application and database hosting (app). Germany (EEA).
  • PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A. — subscription billing (app). Luxembourg.
  • TrueLayer Limited — UK Open Banking account information, disabled at launch (app). United Kingdom.

The analytics and advertising tools (Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity, and, with your marketing consent only, the Meta Pixel and Meta's Conversions API) run only with your consent and can be withdrawn anytime via "Cookie Settings". When you register after opting into marketing, we share your registration details with Meta to measure ad performance: your email and name are sent hashed (SHA-256), together with your IP address and browser user-agent. Apart from that consent-based advertising measurement, we do not share data with advertising networks or data brokers, and we never sell your data. For the full detail of how the Famyance application processes your account data, see the app privacy policy at famyance.app.

06Retention

We keep contact-form and beta-interest data for as long as needed to respond to you and manage your interest, and then for a reasonable period in line with our legal obligations. Server logs are kept for a short period for security and reliability. You can ask us to delete your enquiry data at any time.

07Your rights

Under UK and EU data-protection law you have rights over your personal data, including access, correction, deletion, and objection. To exercise these rights for data collected through this website, email our data protection contact at dpo@famyance.com.

Data rights relating to your Famyance account and the data held in the application are managed in the app — see famyance.app.

08International transfers

Some of our sub-processors are based outside the UK and EEA, in particular in the United States (for example Anthropic, Google and Microsoft). For those restricted transfers we put in place a UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (or the IDTA) with each sub-processor, and we rely on the UK-US Data Bridge (the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) where the sub-processor is certified under it. Sub-processors inside the EEA (such as Hetzner, Sentry and Upstash) are covered by the UK's adequacy findings. We also share data with Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd for consent-based advertising measurement; Meta may transfer this data to the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (and its UK extension) and/or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

09Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make a material change — for example, if we introduce analytics on the website — we will update this page and, where required, ask for your consent.
