This page applies to the Famyance marketing website at famyance.com.
Cookies set by the Famyance application are described at famyance.app.
01What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser that helps a website work — for example, by keeping a page secure or remembering a preference between visits.
This website uses only first-party, strictly-necessary cookies, and only where they are needed for the site to function.
Because this website now offers optional analytics cookies, we ask for your consent before any non-essential cookies are set. You can accept, reject, or choose categories — and change your mind anytime via "Cookie Settings" in the footer.
02Cookies we use
The marketing website may set the following strictly-necessary cookies:
- Site operation — a cookie that keeps the website functioning correctly as you browse.
- Security — a cookie used to protect the site and keep your connection secure.
- Form anti-spam — Cloudflare Turnstile may set a cookie to verify that form submissions come from a real visitor, not a bot.
Beyond these, advertising cookies are used only on our marketing landing pages and only with your consent — see "Advertising & marketing cookies" below. Optional analytics cookies are covered in the next section and load only with your consent.
03Analytics & performance cookies (optional, consent-required)
With your consent, we use privacy-focused analytics to understand how the website is used and to improve it. These cookies load ONLY after you accept the Analytics category — never before:
- Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) — aggregate website-usage analytics (pages viewed, approximate location, device type). Sets the _ga and _ga_* cookies (typically up to ~2 years). IP addresses are anonymised and ad-personalisation signals are disabled.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) — anonymised session insights and heatmaps to spot usability issues. Sets the _clck and _clsk cookies (typically up to ~1 year). Form input and text are masked, so what you type is not captured in replays.
These never carry advertising profiles. To withdraw, open "Cookie Settings" in the footer and turn Analytics off — collection stops in the same session. Our advertising pixel is covered in the next section; it runs only on our marketing landing pages and only with your consent.
04Advertising & marketing cookies (optional, consent-required)
With your consent, we use an advertising pixel on our marketing landing pages — for example, pages we link to from social-media or paid-ad campaigns — to measure how well those campaigns work. It loads ONLY after you accept the Marketing category, never before, and it does not run anywhere else on the website:
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd) — measures advertising results, such as which ad led you to sign up. It may set the _fbp cookie (typically up to ~3 months) and sends event data to Meta Platforms.
Separately, when you register on the Famyance app after opting into marketing, we share your registration details with Meta server-side to measure ad performance (its Conversions API): your email and name are sent hashed (SHA-256), together with your IP address and browser user-agent. This happens only with your marketing consent. To withdraw, open "Cookie Settings" in the footer and turn Marketing off — the pixel stops loading immediately and no further server-side events are sent. Because event data is shared with Meta, please also review Meta's own cookie and privacy notices. The pixel is the only advertising cookie we use, and we share data with Meta solely to measure our own campaigns.
05How to control cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Because we use only strictly-necessary cookies, blocking them may stop parts of the website — such as our forms — from working correctly.
Most browsers let you manage cookies under Settings → Privacy.
06Changes
We update this policy when our use of cookies changes and request consent where required. Questions? Email dpo@famyance.com.
